2. Eligibility and business use
The Website is intended for businesses, government entities and professionals seeking information about critical-infrastructure security, communications and resilience services. By using the Website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you act on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
3. Information on the Website
3.1 General information only.
The content on the Website, including descriptions of capabilities, case studies, articles and “Field Intelligence” insights, is provided for general information. It does not constitute engineering, security, legal, regulatory or compliance advice. You should not rely on it as a substitute for a site-specific assessment or professional advice.
3.2 No offer.
Nothing on the Website is an offer to supply goods or services. Any quotation, proposal or scope of work becomes binding only when it is set out in a written agreement signed by authorised representatives of both parties. That agreement will then govern the engagement in place of these Terms.
3.3 Accuracy.
We take reasonable care to keep the Website accurate and up to date. Information such as certifications, regulatory requirements (including HCIS and NCA controls), project figures and statistics reflects our understanding at the time of publication and may change. We do not warrant that all content is complete, current or error-free. If you believe anything on the Website is inaccurate, please contact us and we will correct it promptly.
3.4 Client and partner references.
References to clients, projects and partners (including logos and trade names) are made to describe our experience. All third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their mention does not imply endorsement of Lantern or of this Website by those parties, beyond the work described.
4. Enquiries, quote requests and uploaded materials
4.1 Your submissions.
When you submit an enquiry or request for quotation, or upload documents (such as tender documents, specifications or drawings), you confirm that:
- the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge;
- you have the right and any necessary authorisations to share the materials with us, including any personal data or third-party information they contain; and
- the materials do not contain malware, and their submission does not breach any law, confidentiality obligation or third-party right.
4.2 Handling of materials.
We store uploaded files privately and use them only to assess your requirements, prepare a response or proposal, and for the other purposes described in our Privacy Policy. We may share them with partners or subcontractors where needed to prepare a proposal, on a need-to-know basis.
4.3 Confidentiality.
We treat tender documents and project information you submit with care and discretion. Submitting materials through the Website does not by itself create a non-disclosure agreement. If your project requires formal confidentiality terms or security-cleared handling, please contact us before sending sensitive materials, and we will put appropriate arrangements in place.
4.4 Classified and restricted information.
Do not upload information that is classified, export-controlled, or restricted by a government authority, HCIS or your organisation's security policies unless a secure channel has been agreed with us in writing.
4.5 Response.
We aim to respond to enquiries promptly, but we do not guarantee a response time or that we will submit a proposal for any particular project.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in breach of the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Anti-Cyber Crime Law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any connected systems, or interfere with their security or operation;
- carry out vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, load testing or any other security testing of the Website without our prior written authorisation;
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code, or upload files intended to cause harm;
- use automated means (such as bots, scrapers or crawlers) to extract content or data from the Website, except for standard search-engine indexing;
- submit false, misleading or spam enquiries, or impersonate any person or organisation;
- copy, reproduce or redistribute Website content except as permitted in Section 6; or
- use the Website in a way that could damage our reputation or the security of our clients and their facilities.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in the Website, please report it responsibly to info@lanternsystems.com and do not exploit or disclose it.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Website, or reject submissions, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 The Website and its content are owned by or licensed to Lantern and are protected by intellectual property laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and international treaties. This includes text, graphics, logos, the Lantern name, logo and dot-matrix motif, the Lantern Resilience Framework, case studies, articles, images, designs and code.
6.2 You may view, and print or download extracts of, the Website for your own internal business purposes, provided you do not modify the content and you keep all copyright and proprietary notices. You may also quote brief extracts with attribution and a link to the Website. Any other use requires our prior written consent.
6.3 Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you or grants you a licence to use the Lantern name, logo or trademarks.
6.4 You keep ownership of the materials you submit to us. You grant us a limited licence to use them for the purposes described in Section 4.2.
7. Third-party links and services
The Website may link to third-party websites and services, including WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook and mapping services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Website available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Website at any time without notice, including for maintenance or security reasons.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and freedom from viruses or other harmful components.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lantern, its directors, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website or reliance on its content. This includes loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, data or goodwill.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
10.3 Our liability in connection with any project or services we provide is governed exclusively by the relevant signed agreement, not by these Terms.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Lantern against any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or materials you submit in breach of Section 4.1.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they were last revised. If you continue to use the Website after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We will first try to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms amicably. If it cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, the competent courts of the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Lantern regarding your use of the Website.
- Language: These Terms may be provided in Arabic and English. In the event of any inconsistency, the Arabic version prevails to the extent required by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
